Greetings!
I am fortunate to have been at Ben Franklin School since 1989. It sometimes seems just like yesterday when I started at this great school. The years have certainly gone by quickly! I have lived in Menomonee Falls since 1980. My family includes my husband, my youngest son David and his wife Liz, and my oldest son Dan and his wife, Jamie. I also am blessed with a beautiful granddaughter named Macy.
I am a graduate of Alverno College and have a master's degree from Aurora University. "Life long learner" is probably the best way to describe me. I am constantly in search of new and better ways to improve my craft and one of my journeys led me to achieve National Board Certification. My spare time is often filled with reading the newest research on best teaching practices. When I'm not reading, I'm often found on the computer looking for inovative ways to present the curriculum.
I think teaching is the greatest job anyone could have! It's one of the reasons that the day zips by. Teaching second graders is another. I enjoy watching them make new discoveries with their learning. I enjoy the way they look at life. I enjoy their hugs and high fives. The children are truly treasures and pleasures!
Best regards,
