Directions for First Game: |
One person is the
"Director," the others are the players. The "Director" puts
5 blocks in a paper bag without letting the other players see the
blocks. The blocks should not all be the same color.
For example, the "Director" could put in:
- 2 red blocks and 3 blue blocks,
or
- 4 red blocks and 1 blue block,
or
- 1 red block, 2 blue blocks, and
2 green blocks
The "Director" tells the
players how many blocks are in the bag, but does not tell their
colors.
- Players take turns. At
each turn:
- The "Director" shakes the
bag.
- A player takes a block out of
the bag.
- The "Director" records the
color of the block on a slate or a piece of paper for all players
to see.
- The player puts the block back
in the bag.
At any time, a player may say "Stop!" The player
must then guess how many blocks of each color are in the
bag. If the player guesses correctly, he or she wins the
game. If not, the player is out of the game. Play
continues until a player makes the correct guess.
