Bat Homes
Bats
like to live in dark places. Caves, holes in trees and even buildings
are favorite homes. Because bats sleep during the day and are active
at night, they are called “nocturnal.”

bats live in old mines.Putting a heavy grate or fence at the mine
opening protects the bats from people. |

Bats
can find a way into some houses and live in attics. They might also find
a home in a barn on a farm. |

Wherever
there is a bridge, there might also be bats living under it. Even the noise
of many cars overhead doesn't seem to scare them. |

This is a bat house. People build them because they want bats to move in.
